Subject: An Interview with Chuck Tompkin
Student’s Name: Chuck Tompkin
Date: May 24, 2011
*Tabi Slick arrives in Davis, Oklahoma at Tompkin’s Academy to interview Chuck Tompkin, the nephew of the president of Tompkin’s Academy and student writer for the school’s newspaper.*
Tabi: Thank you for accepting my request to interview you and for arranging me to come here. It’s not often that I get to travel for interviews.
Chuck: My pleasure. I saw you on Interviews With The Stars and I really enjoy your show.
Tabi: Thank you, I appreciate that. So you’re a student at Tompkin’s Academy?
Chuck: I was. I just graduated last week, actually.
Tabi: Congratulations! That’s quite the accomplishment. And what will you be doing next? Is college in your future?
Chuck: Yes, I plan on attending East central University in Ada, Oklahoma.
Tabi: I actually grew up in this area so I know exactly which school you’re talking about. Why ECU?
Chuck: Mostly for its location. You see, I’ve promised my Uncle Theodore that I would continue to help him with the school.
Tabi: Sounds like a big responsibility.
Chuck: It is. This Academy is a family business, it’s been in the Tompkin family since the early 20th century and will continue to remain in the family.
Tabi: Does Theodore Tompkin have any children?
Chuck: No.
Tabi: Interesting. Would that mean…?
Chuck: I have been listed as his sole heir.
Tabi: You don’t have any siblings?
Chuck: I have a half sister, but like I said. It must remain in the Tompkin family.
Tabi: I see. And when you go to college who will take you position at the paper?
Chuck: The talented Amadeus Valensi has accepted the position, I think. I look forward to seeing his work on the school’s newspaper.
Tabi: Congratulations to Amadeus then. And what is your connection with the twins Izara and Kain?
Chuck: Unfortunately that is all the time I have. Thank you.
*Chuck gets up to leave the room.*
Tabi: Would you be willing to answer this last question?
Chuck: No comment.
Tabi: What is your reason for avoiding the question?
*Chuck is gone before Tabi is able to finish.*
Tabi: Well, I wonder what that was all about. Anyway, thank you viewers for joining me in this mini interview with Chuck Tompkin. I’m curious to hear your feedback on how this interview went!
